Welcome

Hello and welcome to jontse.com.

As you may have surmised, my name is Jon Tse. I’m currently employed by Intel Labs, with an official title of "Research Scientist." My primary focus is on systems archecture and systems development for Neuromorphic ASICs, although I would characterize myself as a "full-stack" engineer, with experience designing silicon chips, the systems that integrate them into a usable form factor, and the software stack that enables their use.

Prior to Intel, I taped out several ASICs as part of the Asynchronous VLSI group at Cornell University under the guidance of Professor Rajit Manohar, who is now at Yale University as of 2016. I successfully defended my PhD in 2015, shortly before his move.

Prior to Cornell, I was fortunate enough to be a member of the graduating Class of 2008 at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. The Class of 2008 was one of the founding classes of Olin College, and I am very proud to have been a part of that defining period in the college’s history.

This site serves as an informal repository of my current and past work and as a notepad for various tips and tricks that I’ve picked up over the years.
