Flaky Wireless
OSX tries to drop wireless connection on me fairly often, but only with one particular router.
Here are a few things that I'm told might help. I found them here.
- Setting the router to WPA2 only, instead of WPA and WPA2
- Check the "Ask to Join New Networks" box
- Set the router to g or n mode only, not a mix of modes
- Backup this file /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist then nuke it and reboot
So I tried the WPA2 only thing, then the g mode only thing, but so far the most effective thing seems to have been a channel change.
Meh.
